Prof. Chalom Schirman Spring -- 1 credit
An annual Study Trip to Asia has been part of the ENPC-MBA tradition since its inception. Its main objectives are presented hereunder. Participants are involved in its planning and organization, and they are fully responsible for all aspects of the trip as well as its success.
Objectives:
• An introduction to Chinese society and culture
• An introduction to Chinese business life in a booming region on the Eastern Coast of the PRC.
• An opportunity to study current business issues in China after its admission to the WTO, preparing the Olympic Games of 2008 (Beijing) and the Universal Expo of 2010 (Shanghai)
• Contacts with ENPC MBA Shanghai participants and with Chinese businessmen on concrete projects.
Mornings are devoted to lectures by local SIMBA faculty. Afternoons are devoted to company visits.
Since space is limited, participants interested in the Study Trip to Shanghai must submit a 1-page statement of interest to Kristen Rae by February 10th.
Spouses and/or friends can not join the study trip.
