Performance Assessment and Valuation of Innovative Enterprises

This course focuses on systems designed to analyze performance, risk and financial conditions of New Economy, knowledge-based enterprises in the high-tech, science-based, Internet and service sectors.  From financial analysis the course moves to valuation of the New Economy enterprises, where traditional tools based on earnings and cash-flows are of limited use.  Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on new information sources and modes aimed to supplement and substitute for accounting-based information which is of little use in analyzing knowledge-based companies.
